Account & billing
Is Dokki free?
Yes. The Free plan covers everything you need to work solo or with a teammate or two — the full editor, AI Copilot, tables, artifacts, search, up to 3 workspaces, and a published site. Upgrade to Pro when you outgrow those limits: bigger teams, a custom domain, more daily AI, and unlimited published sites.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel. You keep Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Reach out from Settings → Help and we'll help you sort it out.
Collaboration
How do I invite someone to my workspace?
Open Settings → Members → Invite and enter their email. Free workspaces hold up to 3 people, so you can collaborate without paying a cent — move to Pro when you need a bigger team.
Can I share a single document instead of the whole workspace?
Yes. Open the doc → Share → invite by email or copy a public link. The other person only sees that one document.
What if my collaborator doesn't have a Dokki account?
They get an email invite with a sign-up link. Once they sign up, access is granted automatically.
Content & limits
What happens when I hit a Free limit?
Depends which one. Run out of your 5 daily Copilot messages and you can flip on Extra Usage to keep going, or just wait for the next day's reset. Fill up your published site or your 3 workspaces and Dokki will nudge you to upgrade. Either way, nothing you've already made disappears — you just can't add more of that one thing until you free up room or move to Pro.
Can I export my data?
Yes — every document, table, and artifact can be exported. Open the resource and use the Export menu (PDF, Markdown, Word, plain text).
Will my work disappear if I downgrade from Pro to Free?
No. Existing data stays. You just can't add more once you're past Free's limits, and Pro-only features (custom domain, collaborators) stop working.
AI Copilot
Why does the AI sometimes refuse to do something?
Copilot avoids destructive actions (deletes, sending messages) without explicit confirmation, and won't touch billing or member permissions on its own. If a request is blocked, ask again with the action you want spelled out.
I need more AI than my plan gives me — what are my options?
Turn on Extra Usage in billing to keep working past your daily allowance — you draw from credits and set your own monthly cap, so costs stay predictable. If you regularly need a lot more, the Pro and Max plans raise your daily AI allowance several times over.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Dokki doesn't send your content to model providers for training. Your prompts and document content are sent only to generate the requested response.
Publishing
What's the difference between sharing a link and publishing?
A shared link gives a specific level of access (view/comment/edit) to anyone with the URL. Publishing turns the doc into a true web page — indexable, shareable, and (Pro) reachable on your custom domain.
Why isn't my custom domain working?
The most common cause is DNS hasn't fully propagated. Wait 5–10 minutes after adding the CNAME record. If it still doesn't verify, double-check the CNAME value matches exactly what Dokki shows you.
Can I remove the "Powered by Dokki" footer?
Not right now — the small "Powered by Dokki" badge appears on every published page, custom domains included. Hiding it is something we're looking at for paid plans, but today there's no toggle for it.
Troubleshooting
A document won't load.
Refresh the page. If it still won't load, check your network connection — Dokki needs a live connection for real-time editing.
Two people are editing the same cell. What happens?
Nothing bad — both edits merge automatically. The latest characters typed win on a per-character basis.
I deleted something by accident.
Check Trash in the sidebar. Deleted resources stay there for 30 days before being permanently removed.
The AI Copilot is slow or not responding.
Try switching to a different model in the Copilot panel. Some models are faster than others; Dokki's default is tuned for speed.
