Dokki supports MCP, the open protocol AI clients use to reach external data and tools. MCP lets external clients work with Dokki, and lets Dokki agents connect to managed tool servers.
In this section
Connect External Clients - give Claude Code, Cursor, or another MCP client access to a Dokki workspace.
Connectors - create named workspace-scoped credentials and managed connections.
What MCP can access
Dokki's MCP tools can search, read, preview, and in some cases create or edit resources. The unified preview tool returns a rendered snapshot for documents, tables, and artifacts so external agents do not have to reconstruct Dokki content from raw storage.
MCP tools can also expose related entities when Knowledge Graph is enabled for an organization.
Permissions
MCP clients run with the credential and workspace scope you grant them. They do not bypass resource permissions. Restricted private resources may be surfaced only as limited metadata when a tool is explicitly designed to show that something exists without leaking its content.
