Teams let multiple people collaborate in a workspace without requiring every invitee to have their own paid personal plan.
Workspace Team billing
Workspace Team billing applies to one workspace. It is separate from organization billing and separate from a user's personal Pro or Max plan.
A Free workspace currently allows up to 20 writer/admin collaborators beyond the owner. Viewers are unlimited and do not consume the cap. The owner is never counted.
Sponsored seats
A sponsored seat is a writer or admin in the workspace who is on the Free user plan and is not the workspace creator. Pro, Max 5x, and Max 20x users bring their own license and do not consume a sponsored seat.
Team plan seats
The Team workspace plan currently starts with 10 sponsored seats and can add more. Workspace capacity is based on the purchased total seat budget. The billing screen and Stripe checkout show the current base and additional-seat prices; these can change independently of this guide.
Use the workspace billing screen as the source of truth for the current workspace plan, sponsored-seat count, seat budget, scheduled changes, and Stripe renewal state.
Collaboration limits
Free workspace limits are intentionally smaller than Team workspaces. Upgrade a workspace when you need more Free-plan editors/admins in that workspace. Upgrade individual users to Pro or Max when those people need their own storage, AI quota, and paid-model access across workspaces.
Choosing between Pro, Team, and organization billing
Use Pro or Max when one person needs more AI, storage, and model access. Use workspace Team when one workspace needs more sponsored collaborators. Use organization billing when the company needs shared member management, organization workspaces, Business or Enterprise capabilities, and optional Extra Usage.
