You can get useful work into Dokki in a few minutes. Start with one workspace and one real task; add people, connections, and publishing only when the work needs them.
Building against the Dokki API instead? See the Dokki API Reference.
1. Create or open a workspace
A workspace is the shared home for a project, team, or recurring process. Give it a name people will recognize. If you are joining an existing team, open the workspace they shared with you.
2. Add the first resource
Choose Create, then start with the resource that matches the job:
Document for notes, plans, briefs, and long-form knowledge.
Table for structured lists, trackers, and records.
Artifact for interactive dashboards, diagrams, calculators, and visual explanations.
File when the source material should remain in its original format.
3. Ask Dokki Agent for help
Open the AI panel and start with the built-in Dokki Agent. Ask a specific question and mention or attach the resource it should use. For example: “Summarize the risks in this project brief and add the open questions at the end.”
4. Invite collaborators
Add teammates when the resource is ready for shared work. Workspace and resource roles control whether someone can view, comment, edit, or manage access.
5. Connect or publish when needed
Use Connect to add an external app, AI client, or chat channel. Use Publish only for resources that should be available outside the workspace.
A good first ten minutes
Create one workspace for a real piece of work.
Add one document or table with useful content.
Ask Dokki Agent to improve, summarize, or organize it.
Share the resource with one collaborator and confirm the role is correct.
You do not need to configure every feature before starting. Dokki grows with the work.
