Workspace templates let you start from a repeatable structure instead of rebuilding the same setup by hand.
Create from a template
When you create a workspace, choose between a blank workspace and available templates. The template picker supports built-in system templates, public community templates, and templates you saved yourself.
Templates can seed folders, documents, tables, artifacts, and agent configurations. Creation continues in the background after the workspace itself appears, so large templates may finish a moment later.
Save a workspace as a template
Workspace admins can save the current workspace as a template from workspace settings. Dokki captures the workspace tree and supported agent setup so the same operating system can be reused later.
Before saving, clean up anything that should not become a template: drafts, temporary files, customer-specific content, and private instructions.
Public templates
Templates can be private to you or published for others to use. Organization policy can restrict who is allowed to publish public templates.
What is not copied
Templates are meant to copy reusable structure, not live runtime state. Secrets, access tokens, transient runs, chat history, and personal account connections should be reconnected in the new workspace.
Managing templates
You can update a template by saving a newer version from a workspace. Removing a template archives it so it no longer appears in the picker.
