Move SharePoint site pages and document libraries into a Dokki workspace.
What arrives
From SharePoint | In Dokki |
|---|---|
Site page | An editable Dokki document, with a link back to the original at the top |
Files in a document library | Stored files you can open and search |
Headings, bold, italic, links | Kept |
Tables | Kept as tables |
Images placed in a page | Kept |
Numbered and bulleted lists, including nested ones | Kept, with numbering and indent levels |
Code blocks | Kept |
Folder structure in a library | Kept |
What does not come across:
Not imported | What to do |
|---|---|
Page layout β columns, sections, hero banners | Text from each part of the page is kept, in reading order, as a single flow. Reformat the few pages where layout carried meaning. |
Web parts that pull in live data β news feeds, list views, embedded dashboards | These produce nothing, because their content was generated when the page loaded rather than stored in it. Link to the source, or rebuild it as a Dokki table. |
Lists | SharePoint lists are not imported. Export a list to CSV and import the file, then build a Dokki table from it. |
Comments, page history, permissions | Set up sharing in Dokki after import. Nothing is shared until you share it. |
Import from SharePoint
The pages land wherever you start from, so begin at the folder you want them in.
In the sidebar, point at the folder you want the content to land in and select the + beside it. To import into the top level of the workspace, use the + at the top of the sidebar instead.
Choose Importβ¦.
Under Source, choose SharePoint, then connect your Microsoft account or pick a connection someone has already set up. Connections are added and reconnected under Manage sources.
Under What to bring in, choose the site, pages, or library you want.
Under After importing, choose Copy once for a migration, or Keep in sync if SharePoint stays the system of record.
The bottom of the dialog shows where the content will land. Check it, then select Import.
The results view lists each item as it is processed, and links completed items to the new Dokki resource.
Try one page first
SharePoint pages vary far more than Confluence pages do, because the page builder allows so many layouts. Import one page of each layout your team actually uses before migrating a whole site β a text-heavy page will land almost perfectly, while a dashboard-style page may arrive nearly empty, and it is better to learn that on one page.
Who can do this
You need permission to edit the destination Dokki workspace, and a Microsoft account that can read the site. Workspace admins manage shared connections; other members can import when their workspace role allows it.
If something fails
Confirm your Microsoft account can open the site directly. Site-level permissions are the most common cause.
Reconnect the Microsoft account if authorization has expired.
Open a failed item's error details before retrying.
Files larger than 50 MB are skipped. Move those manually.
